15 Best Halal Thai Restaurants in London

Before we get started, a little disclaimer:

I pay very much attention to the halal status of the meats used in the halal restaurants I mention in my guides.

If I come across an HMC halal restaurant, I’ll let you know.

If only a portion of the meats used is halal, I will indicate it; the same thing if pork and/or alcohol are also served.

However, since restaurants can change suppliers without notice, I’d always recommend calling before booking or checking the restaurant’s social media and website.

Now that this is said, let’s get on with the best halal Thai restaurants in London!

Best Halal Thai Restaurants in London: Mango Tree

Mango Tree in South West London is probably one of the most famous halal Thai restaurants in London.

I know it can be quite tricky to find halal dumplings in London, and Mango Tree has them, along with delicious Thai-inspired curries that will make your mouth salivate as soon as you read the menu.

The Belgravia restaurant boasts a very fancy halal dining setting, with a soberly lit-up background and smooth sitting space.

Belgravia is one of the poshest areas of London, and you’re sure to grab the best halal Thai food at Mango Tree.

We’re most likely onto one of the best halal Thai restaurants in London, what with the setting and the generous portions filled with the most amazing food.

Crispy prawns and chicken curries, outstanding Thai soup, green prawn curry, and deep-fried seabass fillet…

When the plates arrive, you can understand swiftly why Mango Tree is an Award-winning restaurant.

All meat is halal, alcohol is served.

Halal Thai London: Rosa’s Thai Cafe

I’ve been a regular at Rosa’s Thai Cafe for a long time and first mentioned the London Fields branch in my guide to the most affordable halal restaurants in East London.

There are quite a few branches of these amazing halal Thai restaurants in London, with the most central being in Soho and Waterloo.

Rosa’s Thai Cafe is usually a mid-sized restaurant, whichever branch I’ve visited.

The Pad Thai is my go-to there, and I love the way the setting and the service elevate all the halal street food dishes there.

It’s that perfect halal Thai restaurant chain that doesn’t break the bank.

I usually pay a visit to Rosa’s Thai Cafe when I’m craving some delicious food and don’t want to eat halal Japanese food or don’t want to spend it on fancy halal restaurants.

You’re sure that all the food will be perfectly cooked and very flavorful, and that’s definitely what you’d expect from halal Thai food in London.

Best Halal Thai Restaurants in London: Bintang

While Bintang is clearly not just one of the best halal Thai restaurants in London, the Pan-Asian fusion food they exhibit is some of the most delicious I’ve ever tried.

Located on Kentish Town Road, near Camden Town and its bustling life, Bintang takes influences from Thai, Malaysian, Indonesian, Japanese, and Singaporean food.

They’re part of Maginhawa, a group that owns a few other halal restaurants in London.

These are namely:

  • Panadera Bakery and Guanabana (perfect for a halal brunch)
  • Ramo Ramen (for that perfectly cooked up bowl of Japanese ramen)
  • and Mamasons (for Indonesian purple ice cream!)

I’ve always enjoyed very much the plates I was served at Bintang.

No-fuss, homemade food that tastes as if you were in the country.

They’ve got some amazing chicken katsu curry, one of the first dishes I ever tried, and the crispy quid they serve is delicious as well.

Two top dishes you should definitely try, even if they’re not one of the completely halal Thai restaurants in London.

All food is halal, BYOB restaurant.

Halal Thai London: Fitou’s Thai Restaurant

Once, I was quite off Central London and, after looking for the best halal Thai near me, I found Fitou’s.

If you’re ever in West London looking for the best halal Thai restaurants in London, the family-run Fitou’s Thai Restaurant has got some tricks up its sleeve.

It’s one of the most underrated halal places to eat in London for halal Thai food, that’s for sure.

Fitou’s Thai Restaurant prides itself on colorful, authentic dishes that will really provoke something between your tongue and tastebuds.

Thai cuisine blended with Malaysian flavors makes it one of the most interesting halal Thai restaurants in London.

For those signed up for a weekly visit to Portobello Market, they’re located super close – but its mains are still almost all less than a tenner – super affordable for a lowkey date with your significant other.

You’ll find on the menu a staple of Malaysian food, nasi goreng, along with larb Thai salad and, my favorite, satay chicken skewers.

The best thing is, that it might be one of the most affordable Thai restaurants in London offering halal food. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available.

Best Halal Thai Restaurants in London: Banana Tree

Banana Tree offers a completely halal menu, perfect for those looking for delicious halal Thai restaurants in London.

The fact that they have a few branches around London makes it that much easier to taste their amazing Thai food.

Believe me when I say that their offer is one of the best when it comes to halal places to eat in London, whether you’re looking for Thai halal restaurants in Soho, Islington, or West Hampstead.

Stir fry and curry dishes are obviously a staple of the Banana Tree menu.

But if you’re looking for halal duck in London, they’ve also got quite a few delicious duck dishes to offer Thai food lovers.

I have written about the best halal restaurants in Covent Garden, and to be honest, I could have included Banana Tree, since the Soho restaurant is so close.

To be fair, it’s not one of the completely halal Thai restaurants in London, and like many other Asian food places, it’s got a huge Pan-Asian offering on the menu.

A mix of Malaysian, Thai, Indonesian, Singaporean, and halal Vietnamese food, Banana Tree has got something for everyone.

A lot of the dishes are plant-based, in addition to all the meat being halal.

So, if you want to go meatless once in a while, that’s actually something that Banana Tree tries to push, as a gesture for the environment.

Alcohol is served.

Best Halal Thai Restaurants in London: Thai n Pie

Located in East London, Thai n Pie is probably one of the best halal Thai restaurants in London if you’re after an HMC halal restaurant.

The Mile End Road restaurant is halfway between Thai food and English grub, all rounded up in a fancy halal setting.

One thing is for sure – out of all the Thai halal places to eat in London, that’s one of the most inventive.

With its Thai-influenced pies, Thai n Pie offers something different.

It’s laidback, yet fancy, and it’s perfect whether you want a chill lunch date with your partner, or want to bring your friends to a restaurant whose famously insane dishes they’ve never tried.

No halal buffet here – even with the laidback vibe, I promise you’ll want to dress up there. In terms of bills, this is a mid-range budget you’ll spend at Thai n Pie.

And it deserves every penny and every bit of spotlight.

Halal dumplings, delicious Thai curries, and spicy Pad Thai – you’ve got it all at Thai n Pie.

I mentioned it in my affordable halal restaurants in East London guide, and the food is literally out of this world, authentic and flavorful just how we like it.
